Your carpet is getting clean, but have you ever wondered what your carpet cleaner’s equipment is doing to the environment? With the astronomical price of new vans, surpassing the $30,000 mark and Sprinter Vans over $40,000, alot of business people are turning to used truckmounts and used vehicles with low mileage to solve the problem. Many business people are finding it difficult to raise the money for a new business start-up or to expand their existing business, especially when you also factor in the price of a new truckmount.
Judson has the ideal vehicle and used truckmount combination in our inventory right now to fit this bill. At our Florida location we have installed a TNT truckmount demonstrator in a low-mileage shuttle bus that was used at a facility for special needs children. One unique feature of this vehicle is that you can walk into it and stand up in it. This makes it very easy to operate out of and perform maintenance on the truckmount.

We are selling this used truckmount and vehicle package to test out it’s marketability. The TNT truckmount has only 24 hours on it and a 150 gallon stainless steel recovery tank. This slightly used truckmount is still under full warranty. The vacuum hoses come out the rear door which makes it convenient for working out of parking lots. The side door does not swing out. It just opens up internally and then you can step right out. It comes with an electric vacuum hose reel. The truckmount has a 100 gallon fresh water supply tank with a shelving system attached. There is a tool chest installed for spare parts. The used truckmount comes with 200 feet of vacuum hose total.

This shuttle bus was not used on a regular basis, like an airport one. This bus was used at a school for special needs children and was parked indoors. The condition is outstanding. We would like to sell this unit to put it in the field and see how practical it is.

Truckmount Giveaway at the 2014 ICE EXPO

The 2014 ICE Expo in Las Vegas was a huge success! First I want to start out by publishing the winning ticket number for the truckmount giveaway. The number is 361126. Please everyone, check your tickets to see if you have the winning number. You have two weeks from the date of the drawing to claim your prize. If you do not claim your prize within that two weeks, the truckmount will be awarded to the holder of the second ticket that was drawn. So far no one has come forward to claim the prize. Again, the winning ticket number for the truckmount giveaway is 361126.
I will update this blog post with information on the winner of the Judson TNT truckmount whenever we have a clear winner. I will also be updating this post with more information, photos, and video about the show. So be sure to check back here for the updates!

No one ever came forward to claim the first ticket drawn for the Judson TNT truckmount drawing at the ICE Expo, so on Valentines Day, February 14th, 2014 we placed a telephone call to the winners of the truckmount, Luis and Alma Caballero of Calexico, California. The Caballeros have owned a janitorial service for about 10 years now and have 45 employees. They have always done all of their carpet cleaning associated with their janitorial accounts with portables. They are very excited to have won the Judson TNT truckmount to assist them in their work. Here is a video with the phone call that we made to the Caballeros.
This was the first annual ICE Expo and there were over 600 participants! There were a lot of good exhibits, interesting classes, and giveaways. Every participant received two IICRC continuing education credits. ICE stands for International Cleaning Experts. The show combines automotive, janitorial, carpet, and resotration all under one roof.
The ICE Expo was a family-oriented event and was very affordable. The ICE Expo was free to attend. The Southpoint Hotel that hosted the show is the newest hotel on the strip. There is a 16 lane bowling alley and multiple screen theaters all right inside the hotel. The Southpoint Hotel is known as the most family-oriented casion in Las Vegas.
There were live outside truckmount demos, and hands-on live demos in the center of the event. There were $31,000 in prize giveaways. There will be even bigger and more prize giveaways at next year’s ICE Expo.
Judson will be giving away a $22,000 truckmount at the 2015 ICE Expo. This truckmount is a Super TNT. It has twin stainless steel tanks, 90 gallon fresh water tank and a 140 gallon recovery tank. Hoses, hose reel, and wand also go with the prize.

New Heat Exchange Diesel Truckmount!
By · CommentsWe will soon be moving into production on a new heat exchange diesel truckmount. The unit has been in development for quite awhile and is set to be released for production in about 60 days. Keep in mind that the truckmount depicted in the photos is a beta version. We will be doing a few things to improve the machine cosmetically over the next few weeks. However, she has been tested thoroughly and runs like a champ.
We originally started with the Lazer diesel heat exchanger eleven years ago. The Lazer heated with the radiator water only. The heat performance was 175 – 180 degrees. We’ve made close to forty Lazers and out of the forty, we had about 10 or 11 diesel Dihatsu engines develop oil leaks. The oil leak was due to the cam plug not being correctly fitted on a certain production run of engines. We held off producing anymore Dihatsu units until we got more time on them.
Reactor
The next unit we developed was the Reactor. These units had an exhaust to engine coolant heat exchanger, then a boosted engine coolant to wand water heat exchanger. The Reactor gave us heat performance of 200 – 210. The beta Reactors have been out for about five years.
The unit in the pictures below is our final product. It will still have a few cosmetic changes, but basically it will be the same unit and it will have a belt guard. This unit will have a 42 HP Kohler diesel engine. It will have a 5M blower, a Cat 3CP pump. The pump on all of our heat exchangers pumps cold water and the regulator operates with cold water. This extends the life of these two components dramatically.
New Diesel Truckmount
The heat performance of this unit will be 210 – 220. Diesel fuel consumption will be 1.2 gallons per hour at the set rpm. Other outstanding unique features of this unit are that it is self-contained. It is equiped with it’s own fuel tank and battery. The unit basically does not require any installation other than just a few bolts.
Another unique feature is the temperature control system. By turning a ball valve, the temperature is adjusted precise and instantaneously. The chemical injuection system is a syphon system that is trouble-free. We have been using this syphon system since 1970. The unit will have several options for recovery tanks in volume and material. The standard tank will be a rotational-molded tank. The optional tank will be 304 stainless steel.
The photos that I am posting are not the final product as far as cosmetics go, but they give you a good idea of what it will look like. The heat control system of this truckmount consists of one automotive thermostat. When you release the trigger and the wand water stops in the heat exchanger, the temperature will start increasing. The thermostat will open and water will flow into the radiator. This will stabilize the system. When you pull the trigger and start cleaning again, the temperature will drop slightly and the thermostat will close. This unit has no exhaust diverters, no temperature and sensors to activate the diverter. The only safety shutdowns are the Kohler factory temperature shutdown, low oil pressure shutdown, and recovery water level shutdown. The unit is very easy to repair and it is very easy to access the components to perform maintenance. It is very quiet and purrs like a kitten.

Chelate is an additive that binds minerals and hard water, making the water softer.
